you simply must knit yourself a pair of socks! they don't even have to be fancy; i made a couple of pairs of simple stockinette socks (not posted on my blog), and they're heavenly to wear. they feel even better because i know i made them! i'm sure once you get the hang of knitting socks, you'll love it :) good luck!
